Founding of Emil Fröhlich Maschinenfabrik and manufacture of the world's first industrial pipe bending machines
1904
Awarded German patent for a device for bending pipes and fabrication of the Cyclop and Glattus pipe-bending machines
1932
Emil Fröhlich hands over the company to his son Heinrich, who in turn hands it over to his son Herbert after the Second World Warb
1975
Discontinued machine building; focus on applied bending and forming technology; relocation to present site in Cologne-Pesch; expansion of production area
1984
Takeover by Rudi-Jürgen Schöler; expansion of production area
1997
Initial EN ISO 9001:2000 certification
2000
Procurement of a left/right bending machine with variable radius and fully automatic tube loading for the hydraulic tubing sector (still a core competence)
2003
100th company anniversary

Procurement of the first fully electrical bending machines with automatic loading and removal for large-volume OEM production; introduction of mobile 3D instrumentation
